Barca lost their first match of the USA Tour 2011 against Manchester United (2-1). Thiago, once again, was the Man of the Match after scoring a tremendous goal after 70 minutes.
Ultimately though, The Red Devils managed to get a victory which, considering how we’ve beaten them in our last 2 Champions League finals, must feel pretty much like revenge!
– As it was a friendly match, this defeat has to be given some importance but it’s obviously not a tragedy. Preseason is all about improving fitness and giving less regular players a chance to prove their worth.
Riverola and Cuenca have been excellent whenever Guardiola has given them a chance, way to go boys!!
On the negative side: Afellay picked up a biceps injury and had to be substituted – Let’s wait and see what the doctors think after their examination.
