Seydou Keita Leaves Barcelona, Van Persie – David Villa Swap, Jordi Alba On Olympics : Read My Mind About Today’s FCB News here:

Seydou Keita will leave the club in the summer, Barcelona announced on their official website. The Mali international still had two years left on his contract with the Blaugrana, but a clause in the deal says that he can leave Camp Nou after failing to feature in at least 50 per cent of the club’s official matches last season – I really can not even begin to express how much Seydou Keita has meant for Barcelona over the last few seasons. Always a professional, always ready to help when needed. With 188 appearances and 22 goals in just 4 seasons, he will be missed. There goes a true Blaugrana hero!

Barcelona are reportedly preparing to offload David Villa to fund a bid for Arsenal captain Robin van Persie. Van Persie is out of contract at the end of next season – What a load of rubbish. Tito Vilanova has clearly explained that he isn’t interested in signing any new strikers as he is happy with our current attackers. Selling Villa after the injury he’s just gone through without giving him a chance to prove whether he’s up to the job again is simply not in the cards. Only rumours!

Jordi Alba looks set to take his place in the Spain squad for the Olympic Games despite Barcelona’s protestations to his call-up – While I’m not happy about Jordi Alba joining the Spanish Olympic squad, I doubt the Barcelona board will force him to stay for our preseason training. If he doesn’t travel to London, that would be Alba’s decision, not the club’s.
