Jordi Alba is without a doubt the most underrated player in the Barcelona squad. His influence at both ends of the pitch is such that without him, it would be hard to imagine the Camp Nou giants being only one match away from conquering the Liga, Copa and Champions League treble.

Barcelona’s transitions into attack have become far more reliant on individual runs to the byline, especially from the left flank. As a result, Alba’s ability to exploit the space left behind opponents’ backs when their attention is focused on countering the threat posed by Neymar has become invaluable.
