Pedro Rodriguez was linked with a move to the Premier League from the very moment Barcelona’s treble-winning season ended in early June at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

Although fans may never find out the true reasons that made Pedro reject the Red Devils, it is clear that Louis van Gaal’s questionable attitude toward close friend and former Barca teammate Victor Valdes influenced his final decision. References from fellow Spanish international David De Gea would not have been too favourable, either, definitely making Old Trafford a less attractive option as a result.
