FIFA not putting the interest of Barcelona youngsters first

Barcelona are under FIFA’s microscope again. The Catalans’ board are literally counting the seconds until the current transfer ban expires on 4th January 2016 and are simply not prepared to take any risks that could see their current punishment extended a second longer than is necessary.

With less than four months to go until transfer activity can resume in the Camp Nou offices, the board are doing their utmost to ensure they are fully compliant with the regulators who imposed one of the most highly-publicised sanctions in modern football history.

Although the international governing body of football only initially banned the nine youngsters in question from playing official games with their respective teams, they recently contacted the club to extend their prohibition to training sessions and, far more infuriatingly, refuses to allow them to live in La Masia any longer.
