Messi’s future at Barcelona is in very serious doubt. Despite the news not having been officially confirmed, even Carles Puyol has been tweeting about it already. It was incredibly difficult to talk about our Number 10’s future in our latest The Barcelona Podcast, but did try to summarise the reasons for his frustrations and my own emotions on hearing the news in the best I could – speaking from both the heart and the brain.

Luis Suarez has reportedly been told to look for a new team via a shamefully short phone conversation with Koeman – not with Josep Maria Bartomeu, as was perhaps to be expected. Another inexplicable move (and counting!) from the club’s president.
Koeman has also spoken to Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets about their roles in the inevitable Barca rebuild.
