With no disrespect to Robert Lewandowski and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Pedri was Barcelona’s best player in 2022-23 and is the most important player ahead of the upcoming season. Ilkay Gundogan’s arrival will make things a little easier for Pedri, but the numbers back up the argument – Barcelona are an entirely different team when the Spanish midfielder is unavailable.
